Turn on the vacuum and pump motors.

Ensure the flow valve to the gun is open.

Place the end of the vacuum hose tightly against the nozzle of the gun.

Squeeze the trigger to allow the vacuum suction to prime the pump. The pump motor sound will deepen when the pump is primed.

Release the trigger and remove the vacuum hose from the nozzle. Run the vacuum motor for another 10 seconds to prevent water from dripping out of the hose.
